Tutorial: Using Field Tags Some of the settings available in Ability Mail Server allow insertion of special field tags, which are replaced with important information when used. This allows messages to contain useful information, such as the subject of a mail, the current time, the administrator’s email address and more. If you want to know if a setting allows the use of field tags, the relevant section in the manual will inform you. Each tag should be used in the form ####TAG####. The table below describes what tags are available.

Available For Field Tag Text Inserted All field tag settings. ADMINEMAIL Admin Email Address. CURRENTTIME Current time and date. FROMIP Relevant IP address. Any field tag setting which is in response to another mail (e.g. mailing list notifications, content filtering). SUBJECT Subject of the original mail. SIZEKB Size in KB of the original mail. SIZE Size in bytes of the original mail. SENTTIME Text of the ‘Date’ mail header line. SMTPFROMHOST SMTP envelope host address of the original mail. SPAM Filtering: SPF Result FAIL Refuse Message SPFREASON The reason for the SPF FAIL result. Mailing List Auto-Add, Auto-Remove or Notification mails. MAILINGLISTADDRESS Email address of the mailing list. ADDRESSCOUNT Number of email addresses in the delivery information of the mailing list.
